The moreinic amphitheatre and Bagna Cauda tasting
A day tour in the canavese area, in the middle of the moreinic anphitheatre, a unique geological magic in the world.
Visit to Masino castle and its gardens (optional) and luch including a wonderful bagna cauda.
Bagna cauda (hot sauce) is a typical dish of the piedmonts cuisine including garlic and anchovies slowly cooked in olive oil so that it becomes a sauce to be accompanied with a great variety of raw and boiled vegetables.
This area is known as Canavese, an historic region in Piedmont from Turin to Valle D’Aosta and from Biella to Vercelli, partly covering the inner depression of Ivrea morainic amphitheatre. The morainic amphitheatre is one of the most important morainic complexes having glacial origins in the Alps and in the world.
In case of overnight stay, see section Programme
Alice lakes, are 2 moreinic-origin lakes in a basin nearby the restaurant and represent a very important wet area.
In 1995, both lakes have been included among areas considered to be important by the European Community as to habitat conservation.

The excursions I offer also aim at supporting local economic activities and at living unique experience; closely in touch with and with respect to people and places.
That’s why they often include tasting experiences and/or chance to buy local products directly from producers, mainly small local activities working hard and with passion to keep traditions alive;
That’s why groups I accompany are usually small … in order to meet and live local people and enter their lives and the calmness of the place on tiptoes.
