- Description
The itinerary starts in Dorio which we will reach by train after parking our cars in Dervio.
The path goes up along the winding mule tracks of the famous Wayfarer Trail, running from Lecco to Colico: one of the best and fascinating tracks among woods and crottos, hamlets and wonderful views. Here, more than elsewhere, the lake is shining … is it why the village is called Dorio (golden)?
We will reach the viewpoint and the small chapel devoted to San Rocco where you will admire the panorama extending towards Bellagio on one hand and to Valtellina on the other.
After having our packed lunch, we will start descending towards Corenno Plinio, a medieval jewel on Lake Como, which we will visit on a guided tour (hamlet, castle and church).
Dervio is the right place where to discover the secrets of Missoltino and to taste shed and whitefish cooked according to ancient traditions directly by the fisherman and finally to admire fishermen at work.

Responsible tourism
The excursions I offer also aim at supporting local economic activities and at living unique experiences closely in touch with and with respect to people and places.
That’s why they often include tasting experiences and/or chance to buy local products directly from producers, mainly small local activities working hard and with passion to keep traditions alive;
That’s why groups I accompany are usually small … in order to meet and live local people and enter their lives and the calmness of the place on tiptoes.
The Cape Town Declaration in 2002 recognises that Responsible Tourism takes a variety of forms, it is characterised by travel and tourism which:
