VILLA CARLOTTA, AZALEAS AND LAKE COMO LANDSCAPE MUSEUM
In April Aprile azaleas are flowering in Lake Como are and villa Carlotta becomes one of the main attractions, exploding with colours and flavours.
A nice and pleasant tour to discover Villa Carlotta wonderful gardens and the house museum including many important pieces of art by Canova. Gardens have been enriched by Giorgio II after his wife death and they include now high camelia edges , wide stairs and terraces, fountains and orangeries, respecting geometrical lines; but also wood and agricultural areas which one could not expect in a such wonderful and rich garden hiding century-old trees.
We will discover such a beautiful area in Lake Como region, where pieces of art created by Nature and pieces of arts created by human hands have been living together for more than 300 years.
Lake Como Landscape Museum, at walking distance, will help us improve our knowledge about the lake and the cultural and environmental heritage of both Lario area and Tremezzina historical region.
Please contact the Guide for more info about how to reach the meeting point.

That’s why groups I accompany are usually small … in order to meet and live local people and enter their lives and the calmness of the place on tiptoes.
